The Government Polytechnic Kothagudem (Formerely Government Mining Institute) was established in the year 1957 at Kothagudem Collieries to promote the Technical Education.The college is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education and Training(SBTET) offers Diploma and Certificate courses.The mission of the Government Polytechnic Kotahgudem to develop human resources, to discover and disseminate knowledge, to extend knowledge and its application beyond the boundaries and to serve and stimulate society by developing in students heightened intellectual and humane sensitivities, scientific, professional and technological expertise, and a sense of purpose.We at Government Polytechnic Kothagudem will impart futuristic technical education and instil high patterns of discipline through our dedicated staff, who shall set global standards, making our students technologically superior and ethically strong, who in turn shall improve the quality of life of the human race.
