Villanova School of Business

The Villanova School of Business is a premier educational institution that offers undergraduate programs, graduate programs, and executive education. Villanova is the only university in the world founded by the Roman Catholic Order of Saint Augustine, and the Augustinian values of truth, community, caring, and leading through service are infused throughout the curriculum in all of our programs. Founded in 1922, VSB is known for academic rigor; creativity and innovation; hands-on and service learning opportunities; a firm grounding in ethics; and an applied education that prepares students to become outstanding leaders and global citizens within the ever-changing, complex, and fast-paced world of business. VSB offers undergraduate degree programs in accountancy and business administration, with majors in economics, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. VSB also offers an international business co-major and real estate co-major. In addition, we offer four masters programs, a Post-MBA certificate, and a joint JD/MBA degree.

"The Learning Communities really capture and combine the two most important parts of college life: education and student cooperation. By living together, students form strong relationships that extend beyond the classroom, into the residence halls, and gave me a better college experience." ### Villanova has been ranked #1 (Masters category in the northern region) by U.S. News and World Report for more than a decade. ### The master’s degree program offers both thesis and non-thesis options, and part- or full-time courses of study. Students who wish to take one or two courses on a non-matriculated basis may be admitted as special students. ### All courses are run as small, discussion-based seminars, which are capped at fifteen students. Faculty members closely guide students' research papers and, if chosen by the student, supervise a six-credit thesis. Our regular faculty research workshops offer students an additional opportunity to interact with faculty outside the classroom. The Graduate Director also helps Ph.D. bound students in selecting and applying to graduate programs. ### Our program is flexible in terms of the degree requirements and the scheduling of courses. We individually discuss with students their overall course selection to assure it matches their overall academic or professional goals. Besides taking one course in each subfield and PSC 7000, students can concentrate in a particular subfield or take courses in all of them. Students also can petition to enroll in up to six credits in other graduate programs. Students can enroll in as much as three courses per semester, or as little as a single course. All courses are offered at night to accommodate working students.
