About this College
Oklahoma State University, USA

Oklahoma State University is a land-grant university that has offered its students quality degree programs for over a hundred years. The University has more than 1,000 members of the graduate faculty, many of whom are internationally recognized scholars in their fields. We offer nearly 200 programs, options, and specializations leading to certificates, master’s, and doctoral degrees, including several interdisciplinary programs. Oklahoma State University is a leading contributor to graduate education in the state, the nation and the world: over 1000 master’s degrees and almost 200 doctoral degrees awarded each year. Our graduate programs are supported by internal funding and by a strong base of externally sponsored research. Graduate students at OSU work on state-of-the-art research and creative projects in a wide variety of areas. Competitive fellowships and assistantships, tuition waivers, and comprehensive health insurance plans are available to provide support to graduate assistants as they pursue their graduate studies. University Health Services is an outpatient ambulatory care facility designed to provide cost effective, physician directed health care and health information. The primary focus of the University Health Services is to provide primary health care with services including general medicine, gynecology, simple surgery and sport medicine. The University Health Services also provides students and visitors with information regarding current Health Issues via the "Important Information and Links" along with telephone numbers for inquiries about our services. Student Affairs serves as an advocate and administrative conduit for all students. The Division of Student Affairs provides essential student services (housing, medical care, food service) as well as programs and services to support our Six Pillars of Student Success: academic excellence, leadership development, service and civic engagement, finding purpose, broadening horizons, and wellness. The division has a total budget of $78 million, employs almost 400 full-time staff and more than 600 part-time student employees, and has staff on call 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The Division of Student Affairs serves as a focal point and advocate for all students and student services system-wide. In addition to providing unique programs, services, and interventions we provide campus and system leadership and support for all aspects of student services, student development and leadership needs, and campus and community engagement. In collaboration with faculty, staff, and students we will intentionally create a community which is educationally purposeful, open, just, disciplined, caring, and celebrative. The Division of Student Affairs will anticipate and respond to the developmental and emerging needs of the student; be nationally recognized as the most student centered campus in the nation; and inspire students to be life-long learners and leaders.
